BRANCH LIBRARIES
Braintree, MA

This project for the Thayer Public Library includes a Capital Needs Assessment for two branch libraries. A new main library was opened in 1998.

This project is to determine the short and long term costs anticipated to improve the two branch Libraries or whether maintaining both branches is viable.

Our scope of work includes a physical investigation of the existing buildings, review of available documents, determination of recommended improvements, and cost estimates.
The two branches are very diverse. The Watson Park branch is a contemporary building constructed in the 1960's as a library. It is a high quality building in good condition. The highland branch was constructed as a house in the 1850's. The building was moved to its present site in 1980 and converted into a library
